Halong Bay is one of the most spectacular sites I've ever seen. We cruised around for 3 days through what seemed like endless beauty. These rock formations are marvels! Just floating around the bay, uninhabitable and sharp to the touch, somehow such dangerous protrusions can be so mesmerizing to the eye. We saw floating villages, went kayaking, bike riding, and explored islands. We trekked through caves and saw pearls in the making. I even learned to make spring rolls! All while nestled luxuriously in our VIP cabin at the front of the boat with a private patio, which of course was for practicing yoga in the mornings.
This last August, I was fortunate enough to spend an entire month traveling through some of southeast Asia. Our trip began in Nha Trang Bay, which is in the south of Vietnam, on Dice & Brionny, aka @Bryceyoga 's retreat. We were so blessed to be able to stay in some of the nicest hotels I've ever seen! The beaches were pristine; crystal clear water, and warm! And every time i decided to lay out in the sun, within ten minutes I would either be given a piece of refreshing fruit, or a scented cold towel to keep me fresh. Here are some photos that might not have ended up on instagram. Enjoy!
Whilst in Vietnam, on the lovely "Bryce Yoga's" retreat, I had the great opportunity to work with the talented Robert Sturman. His work is very prevalent in the yoga world, as he is so drawn to the small moments of the practice that make all the difference in capturing the shot. A gesture of bringing a hand to the heart, or letting your hair down when you normally wouldn't... Its the smallest of moments that create the truly captivating works of art he produces.
Here are just a few of the pieces we created together. To see more, please visit his website here. Enjoy!
