There were too many fun photos not to share more. While I absolutely love posting on Instagram, there is something more personal about bringing you here, to my site, where I can go in more depth and give you context to the content.

I’ve been living in Texas for officially one year and two weeks. You can certainly take the girl out of California, but good luck trying to rid her of that laid-back LA essence. I’d like to think that I’ve embraced my inner yee-haw, and found a happy combination of cali and cowgirl.

I conceptualized this outfit in my mind and knew I wanted to work with someone else to capture it — since I usually shoot my content all on my own. I reached out to local photographer, Mack, to bring this look to life.

This white outfit is actually a ROMPER! Sexy, cute, powerful and with shorts included — yee to the haw! It is comfortable, flattering, and made of a breathable linen material. SHOP HERE.

While we’re being vulnerable and honest, I want to share with you the extreme anxiety I felt prior to this shoot. Since last summer, my social anxiety went from a casual 5 to a stunning 7. The thought of driving somewhere new, to spend time with a human outside of my comfort zone, caused crippling fear. Rescheduling to avoid confrontation, and making excuses not to show up — for what? As soon as I actually arrived and we started shooting, I realized how silly all of those fears in my mind were. I thought to myself, “this is fun!” A lesson for me not to hold myself back based on irrational and non-existent fears. Where are you holding yourself back?
